The Wiesmann GT is a distinctive Gran Tourismo sports car to meet the highest expectations. The car’s powerful exterior styling already hints at the kind of exclusive driving pleasure that awaits the driver of a Wiesmann GT. Despite the classic styling, which was developed on the basis of the Wiesmann Roadster, a completely new car has been created. The Wiesmann Race GT, an experimental car which was tested under extreme conditions in the Nurburgring 24-hour race in 2002, provided the basic data in the development process. One result of this was an engineering innovation: The aluminium chassis of the GT is a significant advance in sports car construction, giving the coupe incredible driving dynamics, weighing in at only 1,280 kilograms in total.
